Privacy policy

Last updated

b12guide.com collects as little information about you as we can. You can read every page without an account, and we have no sign-up forms, comment sections, or advertising.

Information we collect

When you visit. Our site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data about each request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you asked for. We see only totals from this data, such as how many visits a page had. We do not see individual visitor records. Cloudflare’s handling of this data is covered by the Cloudflare privacy policy.

When you email us. If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to read and answer your message, and we delete it once it is no longer needed for that.

What we do not collect. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, date of birth, or payment details, and we have no way to buy anything on our site.

Analytics

We do not currently use any analytics or tracking tools. If we add one, we will update this section before it goes live.

Health information and the symptom check

The symptom checklist on our pages runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not saved. When you leave or reload the page, they are gone. We do not collect, buy, or share health information about you.

Cookies

b12guide.com does not set its own cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people apart from automated traffic. It is not used for advertising or to track you across sites.

Our pages link to other sites, such as the government and medical sources we cite and the sellers of test kits and supplements. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we do not control what they collect. If a link is an affiliate link, the seller or affiliate network may set its own cookie to record that you came from us. Our affiliate disclosure explains how affiliate links work.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for targeted advertising. We do not use it to build profiles about you.

“Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control

We do not track visitors across other sites, so there is no tracking for these signals to turn off. We honor them by default.

Children

b12guide.com is written for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

Because we keep so little, there is usually nothing about you to access or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live, such as California or Washington, you may have legal rights over your personal information. We will honor those requests and will not treat you differently for making them. We aim to reply within 5 business days. We read every message, but we cannot promise to answer each one individually.

Security

The whole site is served over HTTPS. We keep the email we receive in a password-protected inbox and limit who can read it.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle information, we update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change means we would collect more than before, we will make the change here before it takes effect.

How this page was prepared

Our privacy policy and affiliate disclosure were written with reference to the FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA), and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). A member of our editorial team checked each statement by hand against how the site actually works.
